Vikrant Sapkota is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Climate Systems Engineering initiative (CSEi) at the University of Chicago. His research applies climate models to explore diverse aspects of solar radiation management, focusing on uncertainties and the broader climate system response. Prior to joining UChicago, Vikrant earned a dual-title Ph.D. in Meteorology and Atmospheric Science and Climate Science from The Pennsylvania State University. His doctoral research focused on understanding and quantifying uncertainty in climate projections, with a particular emphasis on constraining uncertainty in climate sensitivity using large ensembles of observational datasets
